Who We Are

We're not your typical architecture firm. Started in a cramped Vancouver apartment with too much coffee and even more ambition, we've grown into something we're genuinely proud of. Our thing? Creating spaces that don't just look good but actually work with the planet instead of against it.

Our Journey

2012

The Beginning

Three architects, one shared studio space, and a belief that sustainable design didn't have to be boring. We landed our first residential project through a friend of a friend - a small renovation that taught us more than four years of school combined. Looking back, we had no idea what we were doing, but we figured it out.

2015

Breaking Ground

Finally moved into our first real office on West Hastings. Won our first design award for a commercial project that integrated reclaimed materials in ways that actually made financial sense. Clients started reaching out to us instead of the other way around - that felt pretty amazing, honestly.

2018

Expanding Horizons

Added heritage restoration to our services after falling in love with a 1920s warehouse project. Brought on specialists who knew way more than us about urban planning. Team grew to fifteen people who actually enjoyed coming to work - that matters more than any award.

2021

Redefining Standards

COVID hit everyone hard, but it pushed us to rethink how spaces could adapt to changing needs. Started consulting on projects across BC, helping other firms integrate sustainable practices. Published our first case study on net-zero commercial buildings that actually got read.

2023

Community Focus

Launched our urban planning consultation service focusing on affordable housing solutions. Worked with local communities on projects that prioritized people over profit margins. Finally felt like we were making the kind of impact we'd talked about back in 2012.

2025

Today & Tomorrow

We're thirty-two people now, working on projects that would've seemed impossible thirteen years ago. Still in that same suite on West Hastings, just with better coffee and a view we don't take for granted. Every project's a chance to prove that sustainable design isn't just possible - it's better.

The People Behind the Projects

Elena Rodriguez

Elena Rodriguez

Principal Architect & Founder

Started this whole thing after getting frustrated with firms that treated sustainability like a checkbox. Spends way too much time on job sites but wouldn't have it any other way. Believes the best designs come from actually listening to clients.

Marcus Chen

Marcus Chen

Lead Sustainable Design Specialist

The numbers guy who makes green building actually pencil out. Can tell you the R-value of any insulation off the top of his head. His spreadsheets have saved more projects than anyone wants to admit. Makes sustainability profitable, not just possible.

Sarah MacLeod

Sarah MacLeod

Heritage Restoration Director

Joined us after spending a decade with the city's heritage department. Has this uncanny ability to see what a building was meant to be. Gets genuinely emotional about original crown molding. Her restorations feel like they've always been there.

Jamal Thompson

Jamal Thompson

Urban Planning Consultant

Knows Vancouver's neighborhoods better than Google Maps. Spent years working in community development before switching to architecture. Brings the voices people forget to include into the planning process. Makes sure our projects actually fit their surroundings.

Priya Kapoor

Priya Kapoor

Interior Space Design Lead

Has this gift for making spaces feel bigger without actually adding square footage. Obsessed with natural light and air flow. Clients tend to cry during final walkthroughs - in a good way. Believes interiors should enhance life, not just look pretty.

David O'Brien

David O'Brien

Commercial Design Principal

Came from big corporate firms and brought all the good parts with him. Understands business needs without compromising on design. Can translate boardroom speak into actual architecture. His commercial spaces somehow feel human despite their scale.

We're always looking for talented people who care about this stuff as much as we do. If that's you, maybe we should talk.
